Mocha Ice Cream
Serves 4
2 frozen bananas, peeled
1/4 cup milk - your choice: dairy, unsweetened coconut, or unsweetened almond
1/2 TB - 1 TB cocoa powder
1 tsp - 2 tsp finely ground coffee [how strong do you like your java? I love mine full-punch strong, so I go with a full 2 tsp. Like it milder? Work your way up to 1 tsp]
Tip: Ensure your coffee is very well ground. My first go round with this one I had it a little bit too coarse (pictured), and while delicious, it felt a little too gritty for my liking.
Use the same preparation method as the plain ice cream found here, placing bananas in the blender to start, slowly adding the milk. Once a creamy consistency is reached, add in the cocoa and coffee until mixed.
This one's best kept to the first half of the day, depending on your sensitivity to caffeine;)
